Famous Adventurer Here!
We have many new and exciting changes happening all around our school. First of all, as you can see to our right, we have a new participatory polling place for people to apply their opinions. The first Question for our polls is “What should we Name our School Newspaper?” The possible answers were derived from the Student Lounge Forum, “The School Newspaper Name Game”. I’d like to personally thank everyone who contributed to this discussion. And now – you can choose the title you want to see gracing the pages of our publication. Take the poll – and make your vote count!

As the dawn of the New Year rises over the horizon, The School for Heroes has a rosy glow that makes it shine like new. As well it should – we have added two new and very important changes to our School for Heroes website – the Student Center and Assignment Discussions.
Social interaction is one of the most important aspects of any school. After all, the friends you make from school may well be your business partners in the future. Why, at the “How to Be a Hero” school, we even had two people meet at our school, fall in love with each other, and eventually get married. Now, here at The School for Heroes, you will have the opportunity to meet and speak with other students through our Student Center and our Discussions.
The Student Center will soon become the hub of communications for the school. Here, you will find the forums where people can discuss their views upon Heroism and other important subjects. Already, the forums are brimming with interesting discussions and lively conversations. Where else can you meet with Heroes from all corners of your world and learn the secret magic of Gravatars at the same time?
We also now allow you to comment upon Assignments, both your own and others. This will allow you to interact with your teachers and other students to hold deep, meaningful philosophical discussions about what you have written. Assignments become even more valuable when you can continue to build upon what you have already created. To comment upon Assignments, you must first be logged in. After all, you should take full responsibility for your own words.
The School for Heroes is dedicated to creating innovative learning experiences to encourage us all to become the masterminds of a better future. We are integrating the most modern of your technologies into our world of Magic, proving once and for all, that you can teach an old dog new tricks. We Old Dogs here are jumping through hoops so that you all can become the Heroes you deserve to be.

Greetings, all!
Just in time for the Holidays! Show your school pride and support our efforts to promote the principles of Heroism at the same time… Buy a t-shirt, mug, or ornament from our School for Heroes Bazaar.
We have had a marvelous turn out of wonderful Hero want-to-bees. Why, we have several students who have completed their first rank of assignments, and are working their way to the next level. There’s even one person who has earned enough points to be qualified for the initiation to the third level! Such enthusiasm for Learning! I am gratified and proud of all of you.
We will soon be high-lighting some of the best assignment reports here on our Journal. You will be able to find out what students from other classes think and do. We will also be adding School-wide Assignments. These are entertaining missions where everyone can participate and educate one another.
We have decided to extend the “Charter Student” honor award for everyone who submits their first mission before the end of the Year. You don’t want to miss out on this fine award, so be certain to get that first mission finished. You too, will be a Hero!
So remember, everyone – check out our new shop. After all, what better gift could you give your loved one than a t-shirt from the Famous Adventurer’s School for Heroes?

Welcome, Everyone!
I want to congratulate the many people who have enrolled in “The School for Heroes.” Although the school is still under construction, these brave folks have answered the call for Heroes and have begun their quest for greater knowledge by joining. To these heroes, and to everyone who joins us in the month of November by submitting your “Mission” report, I award you a School Honor – “The First” award.
You will soon find this award on your personal page. Wear it proudly there and know that you will be the only people who earn this award. It takes bravery and initiative to be the first people to start something. Those are the traits of True Heroes.
There is still time to earn your award. Just submit your ‘Mission” assignment directly to your class instructor by way of ‘e’ mail before the end of this month. Your instructor will be thrilled to hear from you, and you will be officially added to the class roster.
There are still many more exciting things coming for the school in the weeks ahead. Some of you all already earning achievements and edging closer to a higher rank, even though the classrooms still are under construction.
Remember – True Heroes don’t wait around for things to happen in their lives – They go out and Make things Happen. So send in your First Mission report, and earn your “First” award today!

I am proud to announce that the School for Heroes has begun accepting applications for the new School Year. Find out now what sort of Hero you are – take the Test now. You will soon learn the inner workings of your very soul. Once you enroll in the school, you will find your very own personal page with the results of your test. Learn more about the type of Hero you are, and you will be given your very first Mission!
You must complete your Mission to prove that you are willing to do what it takes to be the person you were meant to be. In a few short days, you will find an “assignments” connection on your personal page. Here, you can submit a report upon the success of your mission. This will determine whether you are worthy to enter the ranks of your class.
At this moment, we have more ‘would-be’ Paladins than any other class. What sort of Hero are you?

The faculty and staff here at the School for Heroes and our loyal assistants on Earth are working overtime to make certain that the official reopening of the School is an exciting one for all of you. In a few short days, you will gain insight into your very soul as you take the test in order to determine just who you truly are. Are you a Wizard – wielder of the magic of imagination and Creativity? Perhaps you are a Paladin – ready to right the wrongs of the world around you. You might be a Bard – ready to show the world how great it is to be a hero. Or will you be a Warrior and lead us all to a better tomorrow? Find out on October 31st when we officially test your mind and morals to discover your inner Hero.
A minor note of caution – there is the very slightest possibility, no more than than a trace of a chance, that upon reopening the connections between Earth and Glorianna we may release a few Gremlins into your world and perhaps your computer. Should there be any problems with the test or communications systems, we will know who (or what) to blame. Do not be alarmed if you encounter a Gremlin (but please, do let us know so we can take appropriate countermeasures).
Gremlins are shy, timid creatures who are only a minor nuisance. If you find that, after viewing the school, all your computer wires are chewed through and plugs are disconnected and bent, it is undoubtedly the mice, NOT the Gremlins, you can blame.
Do not try to dispel Gremlins – or mice – on your own. Leave that sort of work to the Professionals. It’s safer that way.

This Halloween, October 31st, I, the Famous Adventurer, will reopen the doors to the School for Heroes. Once more you will have the privilege and honor of meeting with your peers and mentors to shape your own heroic future. Once again we will have the pleasure and duty to help you upon your path.
We here at the school are very excited about our classrooms that appear upon your computer screen through powerful magical incantations. As with all magical rituals, there is always some chance that things will go awry. I assure you, any magical mishap that occurs to you here will be quickly dispelled. So far, there have been no lingering side effects upon our testers other than a craving for eating flies and an occasional croaking sound when they attempt to speak. I’m certain that such symptoms are temporary.
So yet again, I, the Famous Adventurer, welcome you to these hallowed halls of higher heroic education. Take your first step towards the future You want to create.
