It will soon be the merry, magical month of May. New life springs forth afresh from the soil, the birds return from their Southern sojourns, and the weather turns wonderful. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Famous Adventurer Here,
Ah, April – when Spring (for those of us who live on the northern half of the world) truly blooms (for those of us who do not live too far north). It’s a fine time to stick to your commitments and get some more exercise in your life. The energy and excitement you get from the joy of Spring will greatly enhance your School for Heroes work. Besides, you might come across a damsel in distress or a friend in need or perhaps a stranded kitten in a tree. It’s harder to be a Hero when you just sit at home.

March has been the Month of the Paladin, and well it should be. No one has as much “Spring” in their step or sunshine in their smile as a Paladin.

In honor of these valiant vanguards of virtue, we offer new items on our School Bazaar. Surely, there is no better way to encourage others to embrace the cause of Heroism than by sharing a mug of hot chocolate in your very own Paladin Mug? Or how better to show that you care than by sending a kind note on your official School for Hero’s Paladin note cards? You support our Paladins and your school when you shop at our Bazaar.

Famous Adventurer Here!
It is March, when the season of Spring renews the spirit and the soul of Heroism in all of us. This is an especially important season for Paladins. Spring is a symbol of hope, and hope is what being a Paladin is all about. Spring calls to the hopeful hearts of all Paladins to hold their banners of Heroism high.

I, the Famous Adventurer, am proud to announce that the official newspaper of the School for Heroes will be named, “Ars Heroica.” The first issue will soon be released – or will be as soon as we have the quality items and articles we need for our premier issue.
‘How often will it publish?’ you ask… My answer is, as often as we have the articles and the resources to publish it. I suggest that you all subscribe by clicking on the RSS thing that will send the newspaper directly to your reader. In fact, I suggest you do the same thing for the Hero’s Journal. You wouldn’t want to miss this stirring prose, after all.
In addition to articles and columns written by your fellow students, Ars Heroica will feature some of the outstanding submissions and reports that you write. All of you can submit articles or tidbits that you believe demonstrate the best and the brightest thoughts of Heroism. This is your newspaper, too.
Your News is Good News!

Welcome back from Spring Break! I hope you all had an adventurous time.
Now that we have much of the School in place upon the website, we will soon begin actively recruiting new Heroes to our ranks. If you have friends or family you feel belong here, please encourage them to take the Hero Test. The more people who join us on this Heroic Journey, the bigger the difference we will make in our worlds.

Ah, the winter blues come even to Silmaria when our bright cerulean skies and aquamarine waters turn to somber ashen clouds and white-sprayed seas. Rather than just drowning our doldrums in classwork and duty, there’s a time and place to do something different. And so, next week, we will battle these blahs by celebrating Mid-winter Madness in the Student Center on Wednesday, February 11 with a Role-playing Party – and you are all invited to participate! Gather in the School Dining Hall for refreshments, recreations, and revelry as we defy the Winter storms to dash our mood.

We have many new and exciting changes happening all around our school. First of all, as you can see to our right, we have a new participatory polling place for people to apply their opinions. The first Question for our polls is “What should we Name our School Newspaper?” The possible answers were derived from the Student Lounge Forum, “The School Newspaper Name Game”. I’d like to personally thank everyone who contributed to this discussion. And now – you can choose the title you want to see gracing the pages of our publication. Take the poll – and make your vote count!

Famous Adventurer Here!
I am proud to announce to you all that there have been a variety of improvements made recently to this school.
First of all, I want to thank you all for your tremendous response to the Student Center. It’s amazing how quickly you have all made friends. The conversations at the Student Center are wild and woolly. The Riddle Contest was outstanding.
All in all, the Student Center has been a remarkable, and very welcome, addition to the school.
Personal Messages
We deeply appreciate your suggestions and comments. Whenever possible, we take the suggestions and make them real. Several of you suggested that you needed a way to talk to your fellow adventurers on the path to Heroism in private. Therefore, because You ask for it – You have it! The Student Forums now provides Private Messages for everyone who logs on and participates in discussions.
Learning from Others
Some of you requested a way to see what other students had written about the assignments you have recently completed. Well, now you can! Whenever you complete an assignment, you will see a link appear that shows you the list of everyone who has completed that particular mission. Now you can read what your friends think about these very important subjects.
Soon, you will be able to comment on other people’s assignments, and messages will be sent to the other person alerting them to the comment. Each assignment can become a discussion point. Thus, we will all teach and learn from one another.
Role-Playing at the School
Many of you are already actively involved in creating stories about our fine school. To facilitate your games (and, so you don’t get lost in our halls), we will soon have “Maps of the School” posted upon the walls. You will soon see which dorm room you are staying in!
More Things to Come!
I don’t want to give away too many more surprises about the improvements we are making here, but many new and exciting features are coming your way. So come here often, join in the fun, and improve your own life and future by learning more about becoming a Hero.
So Improve Your Future Today!
